TERROIR

Anchoris is located in Luján de Cuyo, recognized as Argentina's first wine-producing region. Thanks to its foundational role in the country's viticulture, Tersus is the result of a century-old legacy.

Our vineyards nurture incredible Malbec grapevines, resulting from an extensive selection process over ten years. This selection gives a distinctive character to a unique terroir. We are also expanding our horizons with a new vineyard in Alto Agrelo, adding complexity and authenticity to our portfolio, along with new grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo, and Chardonnay.

Our vineyards are 950 meters above sea level, where the dry and desert climate merges with freezing winters and hot summers. The Mendoza River, flowing nearby from the Andes Mountains, brings fresh humidity.

Our alluvial soil is poor in organic matter, with a sandy-loam surface and rounded stones just twenty centimeters below. These exceptional characteristics give life to an iconic Malbec, with unparalleled elegance and a floral presence.

MICROPROPAGATION

Tersus is part of Genotipos Vegetales, a laboratory with a top-level multidisciplinary team whose talent and dedication allow us to select the most outstanding international grape varieties. We employ the micropropagation technique to obtain plants on a large scale from a select genotype.

Led by the renowned agronomist Aldo Luis Biondolillo, the laboratory has been researching the identification of the best Malbec DNA throughout the country for over fifteen years. So far, it has identified five clones with exceptional characteristics to achieve unique wines and fully capture the influence of the terroir.

We leverage the combination of our skills to enhance our teamwork, reaching new levels of excellence together.
